Osteopathy

is a system of diagnosis and treatment which focuses on the musculo-skeletal system (the bones, joints, muscles, ligaments, and connective tissue) and the way in which this interrelates with the body as a whole. It combines specific knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and clinical methods of investigation.

We do not just treat bones!

Osteopathy is helpful in overcoming pain and locomotor difficulties (problems that may cause difficulty with walking, climbing stairs, dressing and getting up from beds and chairs).Common conditions that respond well to treatment are

  • headaches
  • whiplash injuries
  • lumbago
  • "trapped" nerves
  • sciatica
  • tennis elbow
  • joint problems
  • muscle, tendon or ligament strains

Approximately 50% of our patients have problems relating to the neck and back

  • sleeplessness or disturbed nights
  • glue ear
  • colic
  • irritability
