Our FAQ

  • Sick Notes. An Osteopath can give a standard incapacity certificate which will usually be treated by the DSS in the same way as is a GP's certificate.
  • Medical Reports. We are sometimes asked by solicitors acting for patients or insurance companies to provide medical reports for people who have been involved in accidents. We always require a signed consent from the patient before preparing such reports.
  • Do we contact your Doctor ? We are bound by the same confidentiality rules as your doctor and would not discuss your condition with anybody (including your doctor) without your agreement.
  • Private Medical Insurance. Some insurance companies provide cover and pay for Osteopathic treatment. Different companies have different rules so it is always wise to check with your own Insurers. A copy of our Patient Guidelines is available at this web site to assist you.
  • Do we recommend supports ? Sometimes it is necessary to support an injured structure. As well as being able to use adhesive strapping to support joints temporarily, we can also obtain a wide range of corsets, collars, elbow-wrist-knee and ankle braces together with neoprene muscle supports. We also stock neck pillows
